Your new company
Hays Sales & Marketing Amsterdam is recruiting an Account manager for an international company with their focus on consultancy and technology within several areas of hygiene and cleaning. Your new role The job incumbent is responsible for retaining, growing and Gaining customers by servicing & merchandising our service & sales portfolio within the area North of Netherland. (Friesland) In this role you will ensure net sales growth in own territory through a structured process for customer acquisition and retention by using the specific elements of customer analysis, planning, time management and documentation. You will be responsible for developing professional relationships at each level for major customers in the specific area. Establishing an annual and monthly service & sales plan as well as a weekly activity plan, will be part of the job. You are capable to identify areas for improvement and implement changes at major accounts and introduce innovative concepts and products to customers. You will prepare and present professional offers to customers. You will monitor and analyse customers in own sales territory (customer needs, competitors, prices) by following given guidelines and processes. You will also establish new ways of improving service and increasing sales and investigate new application areas and optimization of existing processes by carrying out audits. The future plan for this job is to grow towards a managing position and influence the sales department by talent development, leadership, innovation and delivering results.
What you’ll need to succeed
The rightful candidate has an adequate level of education (HBO/WO) and a minimum of 5 years of working experience, preferably in a B2B sales environment. Experience in a food processing and dairy manufacturing environment is a must. Technical, chemical and process knowledge, understanding / schooling in related industries is a big plus. To succeed in this role a commercial attitude and strong business mind is necessary. You’ll need sound project management skills to manage improvement projects at major accounts with A structured approach and hands-on mentality.
