Your tasks and responsibilities



In this prominent role you are responsible for the regional management of product supply planning, demand management and buying processes, in close collaboration with regional and global management. You will drive and own the analyses, improvement initiatives and roll out the demand and supply processes with the goal to be best in class. You will work in alignment with the business’ supply chain strategies and processes. Main areas include: • Demand and supply management through regional forecasting and sales & operations planning; • Drive process improvement on demand & supply management processes; • Replenishment planning and execution; • Inventory management; • Ensure product availability in the EMEA region. Demand and Supply Management / Replenishment: • Support R&I global planning functions with defining S&OP, inventory and replenishment strategies as well as development of required tools (e.g. SAP ERP, APO); • Act as the key user and process expert regarding ERP systems as APO and P2R • Drive forecasting processes in alignment with EMEA countries and sub-regions, facilitate data collections and manage aggregated demand and supply planning on regional level through S&OP; • Analyze, determine and maintain planning parameters in alignment with affiliates and global planning functions; facilitate planning processes by maintaining supply parameter agreements (SPA); • Manage supply to the region by monitoring inventory levels, targets and demand, and execute a structured replenishment process with the R&I global planning functions and 3rd party suppliers; • Drive effective supply and inventory related communication to Customer Support and relevant business parties; Inventory Management: • Manage and drive optimization of regional inventories (actual/budget/targets, obsolete, reserves) in collaboration with global planning functions; • Initiate, develop and execute a structured process for monitoring and reporting, e.g. • ABC-analyses (fast/average/slow movers) • Obsolescence/excess inventory; • Reserve; • Reallocation opportunities; • Frequent stock out items; expediting costs; • Shelf lives related to inventory strategies. General • Acts as backup for BMC BV based EU supply chain peers.

Who you are



You are a professional, technical expert and business manager with: • a Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. • 5-8 years' overall work experience, with at least 3-5 years’ experience with supply chain and demand planning and inventory control concepts and processes. • Languages: Fluent English in writing and verbal; Dutch, German preferred. • Strongly developed analytical skills and familiar with statistics. • In depth experience with ERP, Expert in APO and R/3 SAP systems. Expert in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and Access. • Highly result (target) driven with both business as well as customers in mind. • Well-developed communicative and collaborative skills. Persuasive. Structured approach and target driven. High level of business acumen and able to propose process improvement initiatives.
