EFA Engineer is responsible for performing basic electrical and physical failure analysis and characterization of IC’s with the emphasis on hardware-based device fault localization on packaged devices and wafer level failures. The EFA Engineer works under supervision of a senior/principal EFA Engineer in the team but should also be able to work independently. Understanding of mixed signal IC design, test, schematics and layouts as well as knowledge of advanced IC processes is a pre. Responsibilities include the use of existing and available equipment, techniques and methods and document the findings in a report. The activities take place in a 2 shift schedule (06:00-14:30 and 14:00-22:30).

Profiel:
• Bachelor in Physics / Electronics. Preferably with 0-2 years experience in Semiconductor Industry • Experience with and knowledge of mixed signal designs and advanced IC processes is a pre • ATE tester experience is a pre • Proven team player • Strong communication and relation-skills • Ability to work under a strict confidentiality regime • Strong ownership and drive for perfection, both in technical quality as well as achieving committed deadlines. • Multidisciplinary and analytical, explorative and open minded Since working with secure products for banking and identification purposes is part of our portfolio, an antecedential investigation may be part of the procedure.

Within NXP Operations the Regional Quality Centers (RQC’s) provide world class services in Failure, Process & Material Analysis, Reliability and Quality Problem Solving and Prevention. RQC takes ownership on quality aspects in the whole chain from technology development and product design through release, safe launch and yield improvement until manufacturing problem solving and customer complaint analysis. The RQC infrastructure is spread across 3 locations: RQC-Nijmegen in the Netherlands and RQC-Kaohsiung and RQC-Bangkok in Asia. The RQC-Nijmegen organization focuses on product introduction, yield improvement, problem solving and NXP competence & capability development. The RQC organizations in Asia concentrate on volume execution in failure analysis and reliability services and support to the regional manufacturing sites. Within the group Failure Analysis in Nijmegen a vacancy is open for two Electrical Failure Analysis Engineers.
