For our client, in the region of Rotterdam, who is well known in the on- and offshore and shipbuilding, we are looking for an Engineer E&I

The Engineer E&I reports directly to the Lead Engineer Electrical and Instrumentation. While working on specific projects, he/she will also report to the respective Project Manager

General:

• Conduct all activities and tasks in accordance with their corporate objectives;
• Familiarise with and comply to their corporate management system (CMS);
• Focus on all activities in order to meet the overall objectives (mission statement) and departmental tasks;
• Familiarise and comply with the Excalibur OHSE management system;
• Give support on electrical and instrumentation engineering related matters;
• Be aware of own role and responsibilities regarding quality of product and/or service;
• Execute given assignments in accordance with procedures of management system. Issue personal timesheets in RTR/Solo on a weekly basis;
• Submit personal timesheets into the RTR/(Web)Solo system for approval on a weekly basis;
• Ensure all personal documentation is up-to-date and valid, such as passport, seaman's booklet, medical certificate and offshore survival certificate.

Specific:

• Analyse project specifications on electrical and instrumentation design related items;
• Prepare the necessary calculations, analyses and designs and related reports within the scope, budget and schedule defined at the start of the project. These could vary from hand calculations to calculations using spreadsheets and dedicated (simulation) software;
• Main emphasis should be to minimise fabrication costs and vessel time;
• Provide adequate information and direction to the drawing office for preparations of drawings;
• Prepare MTOs, equipment lists, specifications, etc.;
• Inform the Lead Engineer Electrical and Instrumentation about the progress of the work on a regular basis;
• Performing (inter}discipline checks on reports and drawings (IDC);
• Maintain a complete file of all performed work;
• Attend organised induction training of OHSE system and components;
• Inform manager in case procedures collide with actual working practice;
• Perform tasks as appointed to by manager;
• Update and supply the appropriate registrations, as communicated through manager.

• MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalant
• A minimum of 4 years experience in E&I engineering within the offshore or maritime industry;
• Knowledge of rules and regulations of classification agencies / IMO
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
• Traveling is an option.
