Our client is an international supplier of advanced systems for the food processing industry. We are always on the lookout for ways of improving the productivity of our customers within the limits of quality and innovation.

In your role as Field Service Engineer (mechanical engineering) you will be responsible for preparing installations and for the actual commissioning of control systems for processing installations all over the world. Maintaining and overhauling equipment already installed will also be your responsibility.

In larger projects you will direct local colleagues and will communicate with the customer about progress. You will arrange customer training and will feed results back to the organisation.

As the successful candidate you will have:
- A technical college, mechanical engineering or marine engineering or will have reached an equivalent level through experience on the job
- A solid, self-reliant personality
- Commercial interest and feel
- Analytically strong with a capacity to solve problems
- You will have a hands-on mentality, you will be flexible and resistant to stress
- Prepared to travel (+/-50%)
- Languages: Besides Dutch, the ability to speak English. Other foreign languages would be a plus
