For our client, a global company which provides drug development and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and specialty pharmaceutical companies worldwide, we are urgently recruiting a Head of Finance!

Your new role
Senior financial business partner to the Site General Manager and their leadership team;
Strong financial and business acumen balanced with a strategic and operational orientation, an ability to serve as a business partner to the site General Manager, helping to shape the short- and long-term direction of the Site;
Excellent analytical, forecasting and financial modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex situations into information that will support the profitability and growth of the business;
Ensure and/or conduct timely and accurate accounting closes, report preparation and distribution, and decision support financial analyses for all Worldwide Operations organization entities;
Assures that all accounting records are prepared in accordance with company accounting policies and chart of authority and generally accepted accounting principles and standards Heads the annual budgeting process;
Direct and coordinate the financial affairs for the business unit according to financial principles and government regulations;
Notify and report to senior management concerning any trends that are critical to the organization’s financial performance;
Ensures that all material income and cost streams and balance sheet items are budgeted bottom-up with accountable budget-holders;
Provides budget-holders and the Managing Board members with regular budget follow up and assessment of the company’s financial performance;
Review and report the financial performance of the business unit;
Partner with treasury to ensure maintenance of cash management;
Ensures that the company is properly capitalised and has access to the required short- and long-term
What you'll need to succeed
As a Head of Finance you have at least a bachelor degree but preferable a master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or a field in the Finance discipline; CIMA / RA / RC. You have completed this with a minimum of 7 to 10 years all-round / hands-on experience within a demanding and an internal environment.
Other desirable requirements are:
Strong finance and accounting background - Technical Accounting;
Proven management/supervisory skills, including the ability to persuade others to achieve excellence and to foster an environment of openness and teamwork;
Strong knowledge base and working skills with cost accounting, product costing and analysis, standard setting, COGS, inventory accounting, manufacturing variances analysis;
Business acumen ability to understand key aspects of the company’s business strategy as well as the ability to recommend changes that have the potential to further strengthen the Company’s results;
Strong analytical capabilities as demonstrated by use of probing and thoughtful questions to ensure all relevant information is known, and incorporated into decision making process;
Must have the desire to thrive in a dynamic environment; able to move quickly with program implementation and maintain focus amid change;
Hands on: demonstrated ability to see the big picture / think broadly while also diving down into operational and execution details;
Ability to dissect, analyse and present complex financial information in an accurate, meaningful and user-friendly manner;
Obviously as a Head of Finance you are a self-starter with a sense of urgency who finds a way to get the job done – high energy level, persistent, curious – a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Highly appreciated is your uncompromising personal integrity, as well as high-level of respect for all individuals.
Not unimportant is your flexible attitude regarding tasks, working hours, etc. including in areas which may be outside your immediate responsibilities. You have proficient communication skills: fluent English and Dutch (if not don’t apply because applications will not be taken into procedure).
