Your position
As Legal Counsel, Europe you will provide important legal support to our clients' group companies in Amsterdam, London and Paris and their operations in several EU countries. This position will report to the Assistant General Counsel, Europe and be based in Amsterdam but travel other offices can be expected. Your responsibilities will be varied and include reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements. You will also have the opportunity to advise the company on cutting-edge legal issues relating to digital advertising, mobile marketing and social media. You will collaborate with their Business Development, Marketing, Operations, Engineering and Product Teams as well as other Legal team members in the EU and the US. You also will have the opportunity to work with and learn from more senior lawyers in an environment that is open, casual, fun and flexible.
What do you need?
You have a Legal Master degree from an EU country with a strong academic record and at least 3 years relevant post qualification legal experience in a law firm or as an in-house legal counsel. You have knowledge of general commercial law, technology licensing, intellectual property and privacy law in an international environment and you have demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. Fluent English and French is required and good business French would be a significant plus point. You have a general understanding of internet operation and an understanding of the affiliate marketing industry specifically would be of particular interest. You have a strong client service focus and the ability to efficiently prioritize workflow and manage multidimensional projects in a fast-paced environment. (Dutch language is not required)

Their Legal team is currently comprised of seven people. The Assistant General Counsel, Europe is based in Amsterdam and the rest of the legal team is based at their Headquarters in Austin, Texas. The Legal team is ethical, fast-paced, collegial and professional. They work as a team to protect the company and its domestic and foreign subsidiaries.
