You have to be prepared to travel between two sites frequently and to other locations in- and outside Europe occasionally. The Maintenance manager is managing the local maintenance organization, reporting to the Plant Manager, in close cooperation with the European Maintenance manager. He/she determines mid- and longer term maintenance plans, in coordination with the other job families.
Your main tasks are managing the Maintenance & Reliability (M & R) functionality by implementing deployment and overseeing M & R processes through a medium – long term Maintenance Business Plan. Reviewing the existing organisation, work methods to identify gaps and ensuring alignment with Maintenance and Reliability Centre of Excellence practices and preparing and monitoring annual plan for department together with balanced scorecard, standards and goals. Achieve Financial control by effectively managing costs through a consolidated package of tools and this will allow to promptly take decisions about how to bring costs to lowest Total Cost of Ownership. Tracking maintenance expenditure, making adjustments as needed and communicating progress to others and leading the preparation and development of the maintenance budget.
You will contribute to Plant Operations by and collecting and handling departmental improvement ideas and promoting an innovative environment. Ensuring compliance with all business unit/facility policies and procedures as related to safety, housekeeping, HACCP, GMP, ISO22000, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001. You will contribute to Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety policies by executing and championing environment, health and safety procedures in the maintenance department and plant operations. Overseeing and ensuring department's compliance with the facility's FSQR & EHS plans (includes proper employees training, workplace inspections, topical safety meetings, maintaining compliance to operational safety procedures and timely reporting requirements)
You have a University Technical Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the management and development of a maintenance department, ideally within the Food Industry. You have got knowledge of/experience in starch processing and refining operations, maintenance & reliability best practices, country and local regulations related to maintenance and reliability, mechanical and process operation, ISO or other certification, GMP, education in People Management, participation in external or internal Leadership programs, excellent leadership skills and fluent in Dutch and English.
