Your new company
We are urgently and on a short notice recruiting a Plant Controller with a ‘can do that attitude’. Our client is the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services.
Your new role
Supply Chain has the objective to fuel business growth with winning supply chain solutions across the organization. The European SC Finance team plays a key role in achieving this objective by controlling cost, providing transparency and new insights through value adding analyses, driving efficiency and liaising with the SC functions and organizations business divisions.
Within the European SC Finance team the position of Plant Controller of the Utrecht site has become available. The Plant Controller is responsible for managing the sites’ financial administration, business partnering the plants’ management teams and close collaboration with the European SC Finance Team. The role takes a lead position in controlling cost, driving transparency and the monthly forecasting cycle.
Next to the monthly financial closing/reporting cycle, the Plant Controller works closely with a variety of stakeholders on differing subjects. The focus will be on continuous improvement of the (financial) operations, analyses of business drivers, building a strong link between Finance and the plant’s Management Team.
The Plant Controller is responsible for the site’s financial administration and will jointly drive improvement projects. This requires accuracy and accountability combined with a bias for action and strong interpersonal skills.
What you'll need to succeed
You have a Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration. You have completed this with several years of experience working in a multinational Manufacturing (operational / Plant) environment in a Control function.
As a Plant Controller you get things organized and are able to manage deadlines. You have a healthy dose of ambition: get the job done. You are a hands on professional and able to work independently and in close collaboration. You possess team spirit, the capacity to build strong relationships with your stakeholders and employee working on the plant; you have strong communication skills. You take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate.
There is a strong preference for candidates with experience with SAP and obvious you are a good user of Excel (confidence in managing data from different sources).
You have proficient communication skills: fluent English and Dutch (if not don’t apply because applications will not be taken into procedure).
