Your new company

Our client is is a market oriented organization of Japanese origin with its European HQ located in the Netherlands. It is their business to develop and distribute (new) products based on their inkjet and cutting technologies. they develop the complete product range for all product lines, both software and hardware.

Your new role

The Product Specialist has a keyrole within the Product Management Department involving different tasks. This involves market and customer insight, following up the product to market plans, creating sales training manuals and performing competitive analyses. You will define and initiate product activity plans to reach and exceed sales objectives for new and current products. You will directly report to the Product Manager.

Your key responsibilities are to work with the business units in developing business plans to achieve company revenue goals for the B2B market. Your focus will be on product launches, working cross-functionally in order to assist in implementing new promotion start-ups in multiple countries throughout the EMEA region. You will analyze competitive marketplaces and industry trends to accordingly develop business strategies for revenue generation. You will translate customer feedback into appropriate new product introductions and recommend product enhancements to identify new business opportunities. In this role you work closely with the sales team and help to define a set of sales tools and materials to monitor the results. Another important part of the job is creating product (sales) manuals, product guides and competitive analyses. You will also present product sales trainings internally and externally. You will work closely with our distributors/dealers to plan and determine tools to be executed via the channel, building up strategic alliances with among others, vendors and media factories.
At least 25% of international travelling will be required.

What you’ll need to succeed

The rightful candidate has excellent knowledge of large scale printing/technical machines within the B2B market, HBO level or equivalent education and 3+ years of sales/marketing/product experience (inkjet printing tech). You also have strong channel Go-To-Market experience and attention to detail – accurate data gathering, insightful analysis skills. You’ll need excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as presentation skills. You also have excellent knowledge of MS office and Adobe and a proven track record in working effectively with cross-functional groups (sales&marketing).
