Our clients is a world leader in the chemical industry, offering its clients innovative products and technologies.
Your new role
This is a key role in which you are responsible for production within the agreed production budgets with regard to agreed labor costs and department budget.
Using raw and auxiliary materials according to the agreed recipe you produce according to agreed plans, procedures and quality requirements, within the specified operating window. You also assure the agreed quantity and level of workforce per shift and initiate and drive problem solving in case of deviations.
As an outstanding Safety leader you ensure an open constructive (safety) dialogue with the shop floor and strict compliance and adherence to AkzoNobel’s Life Saving rules and Golden Principle. You act according to the site Emergency Response plan in case of emergencies, initiate rootcause analyses for incidents and take appropriate actions, maintain all standard and emergency operating procedures, and initiate and contribute to risk assessments.
Further, you drive continuous improvement by utilizing ALPS tools and standardised methodologies for problem solving and improvement projects (e.g. L6S RCPS). You also implement, maintain and stimulate visual performance management e.g. using Gemba Walks, and use and review KPIs for performance management.
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed as a production Manager at our client you must be in the possession of an Master or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering/technology and/ or an MBA. You must be a proven leader with at least 5 years of experience. Besides that you must be fluent in English, Dutch and preferably also German.
