• You will work in the R&D organization, part of the BU Automotive in NXP, reporting to the R&D Manager. • The products are complex mixed signal IC’s, in NXP BiCMOS and advanced CMOSS semiconductor processes. • You work in close cooperation with the test, product and quality department (part of your team) to ensure that products can be mass – produced • Marketing / application engineering (interfacing with the customer) are part of your team Your Responsibilities: • The Program Manager is responsible for the preparation and execution of the program product creation project portfolio. Member of the IVN R&D MT. Can have the role of Project manager of projects in his program. • Responsible for the program budget • Responsible for the execution of the program portfolio. Projects involve cross-PL functions such as: design, systems, application, test/product engineering, Quality Assurance, Safe Launch. • Responsible for executing and improving a system of project review, • Exception reviews, milestone reviews involving both the project and functional axis of the PL. • Member of the segment core team / segment PRB. • Contributes to product roadmap w.r.t. feasibility and opportunities, ensures the balance is kept between resources, risk, innovation, TTM (what, how, when) • Responsible for leading/coaching assigned project leaders and project management support functions • Responsible for improving way of working to reduce TtM, reduce cost and increase built-in quality including the trade-off between these • Responsible for continuous improvement, driving the definition and implementation of improvement actions to enhance the maturity of the PCP process at PL level. • Defines projects and their goals, scope, approach (tailoring) estimates the budgets and the necessary resources, makes sure the necessary resources are available and appoints the Project Managers to achieve the project requirements and goals. • Provides the segment and PL management Team with regular program/project performance status, variances to plan and identification of corrective action(s). • Co-ordinates between the projects, maximizes the synergy between the projects, and resolves resource conflicts together with department Managers and groups leaders.
Profiel:
• You have a master degree in Electronic Engineering in the semiconductor domain or you have an equivalent degree and additionally can demonstrate proficiency in electrical engineering on the basis of years of experience. • You have at least 5 year experience in managing complex technical projects with leadership to technical experts and adequate people management skills. PMI certification preferred. • You have a proven record in stepping in (and fast development) in new areas, eager to learn, develop, adopt and implement new methods. • Knowledge of change management principles and processes. • Basic knowledge of all areas of IC development: IC design, industrial (production) test, product quality, validation and product application. • Directing and motivating project members; coaching skills required. • Skills in negotiations, influencing and dealing with conflicting interests. • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with multi-disciplinary / multi-site preferred. • 5 or more years of work experience as a Project Manager in large (>10 FTE) project lifecycles from study to final delivery. • You have good communication skills and experience in presenting yourself and your (technical) work, both orally and in writing. • You have excellent command of the English language.
