Responsible for setting up and managing large & high profile and complex (IC) development projects with strong customer commitment. From study / idea to completion (released for mass production). You manage multi-disciplinary team of 20 – 50 FTE, consisting of (IC) design, package development, test & product engineering, product marketing, architects and application engineers. Managing and communicating with external and internal partners (customers, design houses, project members from other NXP departments) is part of the responsibility. Reports to the PL SSL overall program manager. Has a strong link with the BU automotive R&D managers.
Profiel:
Requirements: • University education in business management or a technical discipline or has reached this level through another form of training and experience. • Knowledge of project management methods and of (software) estimation techniques, understanding all areas of project management. • Knowledge and understanding of disciplines with which co-operation has to take place. • Knowledge of change management principles and processes. • Understanding the characteristics of the automotive market is desirable • Directing and motivating Sr. project members; coaching skills required. • Skills in negotiations, influencing and dealing with conflicting interests. • Minimum of ten years of relevant experience in multi-complex projects in product development. • Experience with development of complex (mixed signal) semiconductor products • Five or more years of work experience as a project manager in large (>20 FTE) project lifecycles from business development to final delivery. • Lead cross-functional teams with multiple disciplines representation at different sites and/or regions. • Experience in negotiations with third parties.
