• Printed Circuit Board design (uC, + peripherals, FPGA, analog) • Schematic design of the validation board • Support board layout by subcontractor • FPGA design flow, VHDL design, etc • Microcontroller software development: • Determine whether drivers available from the manufacturer of the microcontroller are suitable and complete. Otherwise, new drivers will need to be written. • Design and implement the communication protocol necessary for communication with the computer. • Design and implement the embedded application required for this platform. • Computer software development • Design and implement the application on the computer that can communicate with the microcontroller via Ethernet. • Provide an interface to a TCL interpreter for manual control of the platform. • Add the ability to program memories inside the transceiver based on information contained in a spreadsheet. • Add the ability to generate JTAG sequences for testing internal function blocks of the transceiver. • Verification script interface development: • Design and implement a solution for automatically running verification scripts that are used during design verification.
