Your new company
The Information Protection Infrastructure team supports the security infrastructure deployed our client firms and Data Centers, consisting of enhanced firewalls, threat detection and privileged account management
Your new role
The Senior Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving operational steady state of the infrastructure and following other tasks: Provides in-depth problem analysis and resolution, and acts as the third level technical support. Evaluates and recommend improvements to infrastructure components, uses available management, support, analysis and diagnostic tools. Perform regular checks for potential security breaches in conjunction with the security department. Delivery of work through Outsourcing Partners, ensuring that work is delivered on-time, with the right quality and to KPMG Standards. Act as a promoter and Guardian of Global Standards and standard infrastructure services and solutions. Coach peers and team members; facilitate knowledge transfer within the Global Infrastructure group. Primary operational contact for Unix-based Information Protection applications and technologies. Occasional travel to remote locations (UK, USA) may be required.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor or university degree or equivalent work experience. At least 5 years of experience in working large international organizations. Excellent understanding and experience with datacenter operations. System administration experience in Windows, VMware and Hyper-V. LINUX knowledge is essential. (Comptia / Redhat / LinuxPlus / CentOS) Good knowledge of VPN, Firewall and Load Balancing technologies. Product knowledge of F5 and PaloAlto technology is essential. Cisco certification at least CCNP. Experience in working with external third party suppliers. Ability to interact professionally under pressure with a wide range of customers ranging from end-users to IT staff to management to external service providers. Excellent ability to make appropriate and informed decisions in a time-pressured situation. Excellent analytical skills and solutions oriented approach. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and goal-oriented. Proven ability to dynamically prioritize work efforts to meet deadlines and work
