Job Mission 
Improve the software tools used in the software development environment related to software packaging and software installation testing in a Linux environment, in co-operation with the internal customer and SEI (Software Engineering Infrastructure) architects.

Job Description

• Gain understanding of the current back-end software tools and their usage.
• Get requirements clear through an agile way-of-working, and ensure that (functional and test) requirements, design and software are clearly documented.
• Extend the current functionality based on sound OO principles and practical design patterns.
• The core functionality is written in Python with shell script wrappers. Extend shell scripts in a generic fashion and Python code in Pythonic style.
• Implement high-quality unit tests and perform end-to-end testing.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders, and show ownership.

Experience

• More than 5 years of relevant experience and proven experience in large technical complex environments.
• Focus on quality, a.o. robust design, and maintainable code.
• Thorough understanding and practical experience with:
  • Python programming
  • Linux shell scripting
• RPM package generation experience is a pre.

Personal Skills 

• Shows initiative and problem-solving attitude.
• Analytical and abstraction skills.
• Quick learner.
• Able to pull required information from others and also work independently.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in the English language.
