The Service Engineer Hydraulic works within the Technical Department’s Unit Services and performs maintenance on (hydraulics) equipment and systems on board our clients vessels and at the yards in the Netherlands.
The Technical Department is a service entity within our client and its objective is to support the vessels, tenders and projects in the best way possible and to manage the vessels technically in the most effective and cost-efficient manner.

• Maintain and repair vessel equipment and systems, and assist Equipment Pool Mechanics with the equipment that forms part of the equipment pool;
• Perform regular maintenance checks and, when necessary, repairs to onshore and vessel(s) hydraulic systems;
• Assist with modifications to hydraulic systems;
• Conduct subcontracted works to hydraulic systems;
• Plan job related projects: make proposals, diagrams, material lists and planning etc.;
• Update technical drawings and diagrams;
• Grow knowledge and develop expertise in his/her own field and advise technical staff and crew;
• Assume responsibility for a safe and efficient execution of works on board and on site;
• Keep administration and registration of all inspected equipment up to date.

• MBO degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
• Training in hydraulics;
• A minimum 3 years’ specialist experience;
• Experience in hydraulics engineering and building systems;
• A minimum 1 years’ experience on board vessels and/or at shipyards;
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
• Willingness to travel.
