The department is responsible for the full technical support of all vessels. The team consists of four Senior and one Technical Superintendents, each responsible for several Heavy Lift vessels, and a secretary. The manager is overall responsible and gives guidance to the department. Our client is looking forward to strengthen the team with a Superintendent.

In the role of Superintendent you will be coached by and work under the supervision of a Senior Superintendent.

The job

• overall technical responsibility for several Heavy Lift vessels;
• guide and control all maintenance and inspections on board;
• support all day-to-day maintenance onboard;
• perform condition and safety inspections;
• prepare (including detailed specification), supervise and guide dockings;
• provide day-to-day technical supervision of our state-of-the-art equipment/ vessels;
• draw up technical and financial reports;
• assist/ advise the crew in solving technical problems;
• monitor purchase orders.

• B.Sc degree in Marine Engineering (Scheepswerktuigkundige B or C), Shipbuilding or equivalent work experience;
• experience in Ship maintenance and repairs;
• good (project) organizing skills;
• social team player with hands-on attitude;
• able to work independently;
• flexible, self-motivated and pro-active;
• keen and analytical;
• good knowledge of rules & regulations;
• fully conversant in English and Dutch (verbally and in writing);
• willing to travel and spend time abroad (max 3 months a year total).
