Technical Purchaser

You will be responsible for handling the purchase of various goods and services for projects, such that the necessary goods and services are available on time, under the best possible conditions, and in accordance with the set product specifications. Our
client works with multidisciplinary project teams which are headed by a project manager. Within this team te Purchaser is responsible for the procurement of the project. The Purchaser will be managed by the Manager Procurement of a cluster.

The Procurement Department is divided into four product groups with related procurement groups (clusters), with an integrated Supply Chain Management organization. The clusters are categorized by vessel type and consist of: Standard Samll, Standard Fast, One-off large, One-off small and DTC. The diversity of procurement activities is extensive and it is characterized by differences in the number of purchase orders, typers of purchase orders for materials, goods and services, number of suppliers, order volume, procurement budget etc.

- Purchasing large packages with standard materials, installations, equipment, semi-finiched products, mailn components and parts for the various new building construction projects that are assigned to the purchasing group;
- Participate in multidisciplinary new building project meetings of vessels for the assigned projects;
- Coordinate and oranize many different projects; besides ordering also monitor delivery obligations and contract agreements with suppliers;
- If necessary, explore the market and selecting potential suppliers, all this in accordance with Supply Chain Management and / or the Manager Procurement Group;
- Keeping systems, procedures, and supplier files up-to-date.

- Completed technical and/or commercial MBO 4 degree;
- NEVI I and preferable NEVI II;
- Knowledge of Naval Architecture / Mechanical Engineering of equivalent experience is a plus;
- 3-5 years relevant work experience;
- Good oral and written command of both Dutch en English;
- We ask e great deal of independence and experience in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
