For our client, who is well known in the on- and offshore, we are looking for a Welding Engineer.

The Pipeline Production Department is responsible for the preparation of all offshore welding, non-destructive testing and field joint coating. The Welding Engineer ensures that all welding activities are prepared and completed in a timely and cost-effective manner in accordance with the project requirements. The Welding Engineer reports directly to the Unit Head Welding.

Job requirements:

· BSc degree in Engineering and/or International Welding Technology (Las Praktijk Ingenieur), according to experience;

· Minimum of 3 years experience in the welding or pipeline industry;

· Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;

· Willingness to work offshore and abroad occasionally

Job tasks:

· Identify, develop and qualify the welding methods necessary to produce the pipelines and their appurtenances, including testing, documentation, client approval and third party verification, as required for the project;

· Review all welding related project requirements and provide input for contract tenders;

· Provide technical input and cost estimates for the welding methods, equipment and consumables required for project preparations and production;

· Monitor the daily progress of ongoing production on the vessels and/or work sites and, if necessary, assist on site;

· Maintain and expand technical and practical knowledge of (offshore) pipeline welding and construction work, including non-destructive testing techniques.
